Stephen King says Stephenie Meyer Sucks

Stephen vs. Stephenie, the fight is onnnnn! :)

Guess whose side I'm on?

I just read this in yahoo mail and I had to IMMEDIATELY blog about it out of pure joy that all the faults I found wasn't just in my head. Somebody else who has more authority to speak about it, agrees. Meyer sucks. She just purely does. She was saved by finding a really great story, one she didn't do much justice, but girls will read anything with a hot dude in it.

We are not all Stephen King fans, but I respect this dude (botoxed face and all) coz he writes. And even if his stories are creepy, he writes them well. I don't always like what he writes about (i.e. What's up with that The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, huh?), but at least he tells it well. And for those who say, well, Meyer's an amateur, get this: writing Twilight makes her an amateur. Did we see improvement in the next books though? At all? No. It even got worse. One word: Renesmee.

But I've said all this before. Let me just quote one whose voice matters more:

In an interview with USA Weekend, the bestselling author compared Meyer with J.K. Rowling , the author of the Harry Potter series.
According to Stephen, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."

Apropos. And for those who would quip that King is just envious because Meyer sells more books nowadays than he does: poor, poor dearies. He wouldn't care if he sells any more books EVER because he already sold millions. Not a huge Stephen King fan, but one has got to give props to the creator of three generation's nightmares and phobias. :D

Stephenie Meyer is a BIG FAT MONEY CRAVING ***** (unverified): Stephenie Meyer used to be a wonderful author or was she really? When I read Eclipse which is the first book I ever read by her i fell in love with and got addicted to the saga. Although once i read twilight and newmoon and got filled in on the blanks i thought i was an ok series. But once i read Breaking Dawn it turned into total Bullshit. YOu can tell that she wasn't even trying to write. To me i think she's only in it for the money and nothing else. She's just a BIG FAT MONEY CRAVING *****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stephenie Meyer is the biggest joke in the history of floozy authors. I have had the extreme displeasure of reading her books. Usually, authors get better over time, and this was what I was expecting. I was wrong; so horribly wrong. Her writing style is premature and such a snooze-fest, transitions are absolutely abominable, and the plot line itself just reminds me of a whiny teenager who just broke up with her boyfriend. She sucks, all she wants is money, and I honestly CANNOT understand, for the life of me, why anyone would want to touch, much less read or even PUBLISH what she writes.

I agree completely, her writing is full of DRAMA and takes FOREVER to get to an interesting part. The way her characters talk to each other is complete bullshit because if you were really in that situation, I at least, would have asked different question, been worried about different things and flat out said completely differnt things. The way she writes is so full of drama and teen problems it is so ANNOYING. If i wrote a book about vampires and werewolves, first of all i would have had bella change into a vampire from the beginning and i would explore more on their life and experiences. Bella is such an idiot, I mean COME ON, they are vampires they are going to protect you, she is so worried about them getting hurt and all this stupid ass DRAMA, once again it is so much DRAMA. Get over it and get on with the story, get some fucking adventure and mystery and quit with the fucking he said she said bullshit. It is such an immature piece of writing it makes me sick.... Oh and one last thing, DID SHE EVEN PROOFREAD HER BOOKS? I have found some many mistakes i lost count, the whole thing is bullshit. I dont think i can just stop there, the movie for twilight sucked balls too, it followed the story but it cut out a lot of important things, the cullens house was terrible IT SUCKED i imagined a beautiful WHITE mansion hidden in the woods with big OPEN spaces and a marvelous staircase, they didnt even look like beautiful vampires; they looked sick and had WAY TOO MUCH white make up on it was SO UGLY. I mean yeah the books were a nice read but i would never say they derserved that much publicity and all this time and MONEY on filming them, TO DELAY HARRY POTTER!!!! FUCK THAT AND FUCK THOSE BOOKS

  6. well...i have to agree with you..she screwed up all the whole story line when she wrote new moon..i happend to blog about it to..idk..these books were about a DREAM she had...

    (took this off her website)

"The Writing: I know the exact date that I began writing Twilight, because it was also the first day of swim lessons for my kids. So I can say with certainty that it all started on June 2, 2003. Up to this point, I had not written anything besides a few chapters (of other stories) that I never got very far on, and nothing at all since the birth of my first son, six years earlier.

I woke up (on that June 2nd) from a very vivid dream. In my dream, two people were having an intense conversation in a meadow in the woods. One of these people was just your average girl. The other person was fantastically beautiful, sparkly, and a vampire. They were discussing the difficulties inherent in the facts that A) they were falling in love with each other while B) the vampire was particularly attracted to the scent of her blood, and was having a difficult time restraining himself from killing her immediately. For what is essentially a transcript of my dream, please see Chapter 13 ("Confessions") of the book..."

Uh.....when the hell did Twilight get so much popularity? I only saw a review for "New Moon" in my local high school paper, and next issue, there was a whiny little brat complaining about the short review.
